Portadown FC have completed the signing of Gibraltar international Liam Jessop from Chesterfield. The 20-year-old forward made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut, with his goal celebrated by the Gibraltar FA.

Who is Liam Jessop?

Jessop began his career with Glacis United in Gibraltar before moving to Spain to join Atletico Zabal and San Roque. He later joined Fleetwood Town's International Football Academy in 2021, followed by a spell with FCB Magpies. In 2023, he signed for Chesterfield, making six first-team appearances before loan moves to Worksop Town and Lincoln Red Imps.

Why this signing matters for Portadown
