Portadown have signed former Southampton full-back Matthew Carson. The 22-year-old joins the club after spending time with Torquay, Taunton Town, and Weymouth.

What happened?

Carson came through the ranks at Glentoran before earning a move to England with Southampton in 2020. He represented the Saints at U18 and U21 levels and gained senior experience during a loan move to Braintree.
